Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has announced a month-long protest programme to pressure the political parties to complete the task of constitution drafting on time.
NFIN announced its protest programmes by organising a press conference in Lalitpur, Saturday.
The protest programmes include sit-in demonstrations, submitting memorandums, campaigning, transport strike and blockade in the capital.
NFIN has put forward various eight demands related to state restructuring and linguistic and cultural rights in the new constitution.
Addressing the press conference NFIN president Raj Kumar Lekhi said, we are not concerned about who goes to the government, all we want is a guarantee of the rights of the indigenous communities in the new constitution. nepalnews.com
