Title: Strikes !!! Who will benefit ultimately?? an analysis

Is Nepal banda, strikes productive for Kirats/Janajati?

Mr Gyanendra, Mr Paras and his descendants is going to gain most significantly if the country can not hold the national constitutional election in time. Such circumstances also directly invites instability, political agitation, conflicts and anarchism. Because, The monarch/the Shah dynasty seems desperately waiting for some forces to come up and salvage his 3 century old crown which is about to disappear from the scene through the new constitution. Next benefits would be for few new leaders who would have an opportunity to be noticed in the national level just like Upendra became noticed after Madhesi andolan. However, the chance of gaining remarkable political benefits for Kirats/Janajati is fairly low. The timing does not seem appropriate though the demands are legitimate as the main enemy of the Kirats/janajati is the monarch who will regain its power to suppress us again.

The reason why BP advocated for constitutional king:

BP Koirala anticipated that Bahun/Kshetry can not rule in Nepal in absence of monarch, the shah dynasty, who won Kirats/janajati land and oppressed and suppressed psycologically to the extent they would never raise their head until and unless the king with arms disapper from Nepal. He always advocated constitutional monarch for his own sake. Mr KP bhattarai, the lovely daughter of GP Koirala (I just forgot her name), the great NC leader Govinda Raj jee, Khum Khadka jee, eldest son of BP Koirala/Shahi minister Prakash jee etc are all following the same principal, the constitutional king or baby king and bahun prime minister of whatever party, NC/UML etc. We must make sure that we are not indirectly helping the interest of these people when we go for Nepal banda.

Iindian Interest in Nepal:

Few over ambitious Indians are also going to be happy on such an anarchism in Nepal. They advocate to capitalize the tremendous river resources of Nepal without commercial transaction to solve the huge energy crisis and drinking water need of vast country India as they are going to face a deadly crisis of drinking water problem and energy crisis in India by 2030. That was one reason why they used Nepali Parliamentarians to oppose most useful and econocally productive Arun hydroelectric project to be built under world bank soft loan program few years back. Another way they are going to have the access the huge amount of hydro energy is through the Indian industrialists in the name of Nepali power company rampant at present in the country. Instability, conflicts and anarchism would be a good ground for such a vested interest of few Indian nationals. That is one reason why people indicate their involvement in tarai crisis with buying and selling leaders with some amount of IC money in the borders areas.

International supports:

All the nations are interdependent among each others, because, the world is like a small village in the global perspective in terms of trade and commerce, industry and technology. One nation needs close cooperation and help from the neighbor nations in the worlds today and Nepal is no exception as it is not yet a self dependant country. We have to import almost every things except soaps and sleeper/chappal which obviously imparts a tremendous impacts socially and politically because of the facts of ecological context as well as poor existing infrastructure of the country. Even the national yearly budget is heavily based on loan and donation from neighbor countries and industrialized countries creating direct or indirect influence on national political policy decisions. So it can be anticipated that there may be some international interest playing role even in national politics, in day to day political activities and in any new development and new circumstances. How Kirats/janajati leaders present themselves to the international political forces, how they maintain relation with them, how they gain trust of them, how they convince them or how they play role in the international political power balance is crucial making sure them about their political strategy and ultimate political goal before getting international supports.

Multiple enemies:

We have multiple enemies in the current circumstances and we have to win enemies one by one. None of the current political parties seem sensitive to the issues of Kirats/Janajati/Madhise and so on, as they are all Bahun with inherited blood characteristic of seeking the political power through other’s shoulders. They know their ancestor deceived the innocent local Kirats/Janajati people after some period of refugee life in Nepal. They believe in “devide and rule” because, they also know they are less in number in the whole population (less than 28%) and they know that they have to leave Nepal for India some day in the future once the Kirats/janajati people unite. That might be one reason why most of them prefer to collect money from legal/illegal routes and bribery and hide in Indian banks. They know that the big and realiable guard for them from the threats of Kirats/Janajati (local indigenous people) is the monarch/ the royal palace with royal army which psychologically and constantly convey a message that he is the winner who integrated Nepal by killing many people looking like you. So the reality is that the indigenous people or Kirats/Janajati people have to know and identify all the enemies and find out which is more dangerous enemy among them and what we are going to benefit in common and what might we loose out of our own movement or in short we must not axe our own knee. Aafnu khutta ma aafai bancharo nahanau?

Thank you all,
Dr Uncle Kirati ...

Your concern is valid

Date Tuesday, February 5th 2008, 1:20 PM

Sewaro Bro.

I fully agree with you. You have raised very genuine and valid questions well founded on the reality we all Kirats/janajati are facing/experiencing in every day life. We dont want to be marginalized in our own country. We dont want to be decieved again and again by these screwd people and their conspiracy. We all want to win the game this time.

I believe there are only two way to win the game; the first one peacefully, through Gandhi's principle and second one voilently through Subash Chandra Boss's principle of arm fighting. Both were right on their own perspectives. However, the first one may take longer time, needs international supports, local people needs extensive awareness. The second one, becuase of voilence, fighting may kill may people, people may not easily accept the principle, as for example, Maoist switched their strategy now. Not only the local people, but international community also may not support the idea of voilence. Moreover voilent fightinig invites anarchism and anarchism may invite third party which could be foreigners in the name of peace keeping. The third party can be cashed by the same srewd people as they may have better negotiating skills and communication skills and again we may loose the game. That circumstances might be a great mistake again to push back all Kirats/janajati for another one or two centuries. We have to be very cauciuos as we have no common consensus as yet as to what would be our strategy for the upcomiing constitutional assembly election. One way of winning the game is to go as many Kirats/ Janajati as possible to the assembly who writes a the new constitution for future Nepal. We can peacefully enter into the constitution writing body (assembly) and make a favourable constitution for us. Snce Kirats/Janajati are more in number, we can do whatever we want any time if we unite.

At this moment, we might have to choose one option, which is most convincing and reliable in the national and international context.

Thank you,
Dr-Uncle Kirati

Doubt about the election

Date Monday, February 4th 2008, 10:02 PM

Sewaro Dr Uncle as I must say to you
I am sure and most of us agree too that calling band is not the utimate solution for our problems, various type of activists are acting against us with full conspiracy and we should be aware. What about the election? Will it be able to reedem us and our rights then? In the current scenario every one who are in political power either khas or janajati are carrying the agenda of janajatis. They have deceived us for centuries and we cannot be yet confirmed that by the contitutional election we will get our proper rights. I also want to know how the election will be effetive for us ? Can you please clarify me in that?

We should be aware

Date Monday, February 4th 2008, 3:04 AM

I think at this time there needs to be done alot of this about janajatis rather than talking and blaming. If we don't do now then our chance to rise up will be siezed by a new kind of rulers known as the political leadres. We need to keep point on that too. Enemies we have many but we should not create enimity among ourself. As seen in the scenarion of Kathmandu there are lot of clashes and animous situation among differnet Kirats thus allowing the third party to take advantage.
India has been in the favors of bahuns not the janjatis of nepal so now they might be attacking through the name of terai since our nepali tarai people have closed their eyes and ears towards nepali. What do we get by killing a nepali by a nepali. Because of that day by day our people are also shifting their living to foreign countries due to many opportunities and safety bu upto when?
we don't want to be in mainstream politics. Also we don't help our coming up leaders but we are proud to be the helper of the bahuns in various big named partys. Do we still think that they carries our agenda and are fighting for us? It is to think by us and I am glad that you are also helping others to understand that too.
So please involve as may people from our community in this site so we can share views and come up with something special.
