well, whenever we talk about Friday, May 9th 2008, 10:10 AM We always have seen and thought them as someone who lacks of higher education,awarness ......... like some of comments here. Nowadays it's not the case anymore I think. Ya, still large numbers seems so. About parenting "lahure" is far behind though they are living using latest technologies and every facilities available. But no one can deny their children is not facilitate for their education. Like every parent they have high expectation from their child then again, things go wrong somehow. I believe it's not because parent don't have idea of preventing. So where does the problem lies?? We are losing family tradition, culture as well as moral value. Every kirant,janajati are living like life has been easy because of money and all we care about house, bank saving and jwelleries in a word we are being materialistic. Not only lahure. And children are growing in this environment. What can we expect them to learn from the society running after money which can barely last one's life. We live in mix comunity with many other castes and can understand how people can change their life? The gayatri mantra is "hardwork" no substitute of this. (Dun't be mistaken for using "gayatri mantra") The way we shout Kirant, Kirant and its boiling within us-why we left behind? It's time to concentrate on our future generation who needs to recongnize where we come from. Let's make Nepal dream country for every generation. It's hard but I love my country and I hope my child dream about doing something for Nepal as himself/herself(as true nepali).

A challenge.......our Calling.... Tuesday, March 25th 2008, 1:07 AM Yes it is prominent in all the people either it is lahure or non lahure, so the dealing has to be done in order to make them well understood. In the society Lahure is compare with lavishness, so I would like all the Kirat Lahures to prove that wrong and do something meaningful.......It's not a challenge but its a calling from our hearts. we also don't wat anyone saying Lahure ko chora chori ta bigrechan. Why can't they be a well educated working class people? It's a challeneg for them to be one.

felt sorry with the kirat Monday, March 24th 2008, 4:25 PM i do regard all these points and views that hab been forwarded in here but i strongly disagree with the points about blaming drug abuse to lahures choras and choris..its not only the choras and choris of lahures who are trapped in this kind of problem but their are many more who are not the choras and choris of lahure......i agree that our fathers were less educated in caomparison to us but it doesnot mean that they arenot aware with this kind of problems...its shameful to blame to our lahure fathers....giving enough money to spend lavishly doesnot guarentee that they will be targetted for drug abuse..so plz stop blaming nonsense wicked things to lahure choras and choris...ya some of them are doing but not the whole.....dont do day dream....wakey wakey!!!

premraine	Talk about it Thursday, March 20th 2008, 11:58 AM Make your kids aware about drug problems i.e. educate them about this plague BEFORE they start schools. Emphasize that many kids learn from their friends. Seek help early and do not hide the problem if you find out your kids are already hooked.

It is not time to blame anyone it is time Monday, March 17th 2008, 12:36 AM Though the drug problem is a cosmopoliton problem, we should have to worry about it when it comes to our society too. We can not keep our eyes and ears closed to this problem when it is knocking our doors too. We cannot blame anyone for this. This can be considered as the consequences of the situation that cannot be reversed. About Ex-Lahures the time they were recurited they were very less educated and when they had money they wanted to give their children a luxurious life which they got deprieved. This excessive indulgence of the comfort and lavishness of expense made them uncontrolled and they got addicted to drugs and every kind of bad things.There are methods that needs to be implemented to make them free from it. Some may success where as some may not pass and there is the stake of loosing life. So there lies a challenge to the young Lahures who are educated upto college level now. How they are going to bring up their children in the developed country like UK or undrdeveloped like Nepal.There drugs are free to be used by those who are above the legal age. Otherwise their generation have to suffer in the similar way their forrunners have. In the context of Nepal there are the uneducated people but the sad thing is the educated ones are involved too. This is due to the lack of proper direction in life, lack of proper family guidence and spoilt friends.I think in our society it is really hard to find a good friend circle who are upto some noble cause and we always crticize the bahuns,chetries and Newars.I think it is time to cticize ourself for our own good. It is not that parents are paying money for education and children are getting it. they have to be aware about their children's education. what type of education is school providing? what type of environment they are involved in house and ouside? So there is a big question mark to the educated ones also who have to take responsibility for the cultural damage too.

I have seen a lots of educated people who have great lack of Awareness are also "going down the hill" that means wrong direction because of money, selfishness and greedy. And you do not expect illiterate and uneducated people to run family, societies and country Nepal. We should blame them who do not have even high school education. What we can do current situation … we push and encourage kids and youth people to school and get higher degree. We have to ECOURAGE and show them right path and bright future by having higher education. Do not only tell them go to school and study. It will irritate their mind, body and soul. More you tell this to them, they will hate more to study. What you do ….then…. (1) You buy a new books, calculator, pen, pencil, bag, kapies, and school materials. (2) You buy and setup a Table, chair and table Lamp in kids’ room. (3) Do not bit, scream, abuse or harsh them. Use sweet and soft voice to them. (4) Let them do competition within your kids or great if they compete with other kids. (5) You tell story about Albert Estien, poets, author, scientist, doctor and engineers. It helps to visualize their dream and future, and then kids will do their own educational journey. You just give them support and direction. That’s all. But our kirat families and communities CAN NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND these key technique that how we suppose to drive our kids, youths and young generation toward school and universities. We are missing the key points and key techniques.

Sunday, March 16th 2008, 3:19 AM there are two types of young generation in uk now ..one who grown up here and the one who came these days from nepal (ilr/ile)..and even there is difference in them. the generation who grown up in the uk are not so much in such line and the one who was already using drugs in nepal....wont quit so easily...though its all abt lahure societys problems..we cannot close our eyes neither of them....

If person brain and heart do not work properly, they he/she can do anything like druggiest, prostitution, Alcohalic and gambling etc. It is not only Lahures' families... it is everybody who is backward, Lack of education & Awareness.

akash	This is a Very Common Saturday, March 15th 2008, 9:03 AM This is a very common thing for them. It's hard to manage because their parents do not have the idea to prevent it--money does not work for all purposes. Civilization cannot apply itself; they should create. Drugs and sex, it has been as a long culturein Lahure family.
