Republic top priority, says PM Koirala-
KATHMANDU, April 28 - Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala Monday said that it is a common responsibility of everyone to implement republic in the country through the first meeting of the elected-Constituent Assembly (CA).
The PM said that it is the first task to implement republican system of governance in the country as the interim constitution has given top priority to the decision, issuing a statement today.
The octogenarian Prime Minister has also expressed commitment to call the first meeting of the CA on scheduled time.
PM Koirala called on other constituents of the Seven-Party alliance to take initiatives for the formation of a new government.
Mentioning the interim constitution has provision of political consensus for the running of new government, the PM’s statement also called on every party to hold parleys for the same.
The PM also stressed on the need to be united among all the parties as only a federal republican set up and multiparty democratic governing system can establish peaceful and prosperous Nepal.
Likewise, PM Koirala also expressed appreciation to the Election Commission, foreign observers, security agencies, civil society, journalists and general public who contributed in making the CA poll a success. ...
