Title: Kirati character

Kiratologist and famous Linguist Prof Suniti kumar Chatterji(1890-1977)of Calcutta university wrote in his famous book Kirata-Jana-Krti(second edition,pages54 and 55):
Kiratas are happy-go-lucky,self-reliant,courageous and resourseful. He goes on to say Kiratas are rather Credulous and indolent, when their needs are satisfied.

What really impressed me is "...they lack a depth of thought and possibly also a depth of feeling or emotion(in this they are quite unlike their kinsmen, the Chinese).

What he meant by this is Kiratis lack capacity to reflect or are not good at it( unlike Chinese ).Personally I agree with him.We are undoubtedly intelligent peoples BUT sadly not good at thinking deeply and analytically i.e.our ability to REFLECT is doubtful. ...

well before the nature of the kirati might the same like the blog explains but as the society goes to expand, we start to experience each and every new feelings, thoughts and ideas. so the topic u explained might be true during the past times but we also started to feel like other people. we are brave and courtageous since our generations, and it is like our Prestige to call ourselves as the coutageous and brave Gurkhas or Kirati but at the same time we are counted among low educated mass. And we know each day that stereotype, being called as low educated is being erased.
As our society started to grow, we become more sensitive and interactive with the other people's feelings and emotions. Our sensitivity of the surrounding world has improved. We are courageous, resourseful, self-reliant from the beginig and now we are full of depth of thoughts, feelings and emotions.
And as mentioned in the blog, Kirats are rather Credulous and indolent, when their needs are satisfied. Credulous, believing in some thing that doesnot have strong evidence or superstitious, in my view everyone is superstitious. when somebody is suffering or is in the success, he/she thanks The God. and that is all the positive thoughts that we all learn from our past generations. it is like a small candle in a dark place, which can not make the whole place bright but can be seen from the farthest distance. its like a hope and our positive attitude. and then INDOLENT, insensitive to pain or habitually lazy. haha!!! well it depends on the person. have you heard the story of the farmer who was bitten by a snake but when he turns he saw a frog and he think a frog bit him and he lives and another farmer who is actually bitten by a frog but he finds a snake and dies. it is like same, we kirati are brave and courtageous since our generations so we grow up with the same surroundings and same inspiration and motivation, which is really postitive step to carry on our Generation-Reward. but its not just true that we are naturally lazy after our needs are satisfied. it is a human nature, if someone gets what he needs then obviously he will show up that lazyness to do other things except the things he needs.

well thats all from my side... haha!! i think nikae lamo katha lekhe chu paddha alchi lagyo hola... but that is why i think!!!!

sayad kasale ko bichar ma thesh lagnu puge ma... maaf garnu hola.. but this is what i feel.. Kirati are brave, courtageous, sensitive, intelligent and self-reliant from the generations and will be. but we are not lazy after the fulfillment of our desire, its the human nature, everyone do that.
