Drug abusers on the rise in Nepal
The number of drug addicts has reached a whooping 150,000 in Nepal, according to a study carried out by Narconan Nepal, the National News Agency reported on Thursday.
"The number is increasing rapidly," said Basanta Kunwar, founder of the organization that has been running anti-drug abuse programs for the past two years. Kunwar said that 107,000 of the total number are students.
The study also found that majority of drug abusers were youths and of them 24,000 are women. nepalnews.com June 26 08 ...

well its not my prejudice ..but i found from the very beginning some people are very good at giving advices and suggestion.....i believe they have spent time on those suggestions by themselves too.....
we all know drugs is a major problem in the present world....its not only the problem in our society...and wat i cant belive is giving education wont solve all the problems...and the western world is far developed and aware...civilised ..but they have more drug related problems then ours....so instead of saying this and that .....think how can u avoid drugs or alcohol or such kind of problem in our home at first...and if ur theory works in house then it will work for the society too.....otherwise just an advice or suggestions are nothhing then a mare collection of words......
though .....good to know urs views as well......

I agree with you all...
Kirat organization must do Awareness Campaign (movement). Kirat organization must initiate on this kind of Awarness Campaign and it has to each district and zone level.
Awareness Campaign (movement) - it can be as a day workshop, or project. It has to key speakers, Presenters, information presentation, slide show, hand out articles & information, has to involve all level leaders youths, woman, social leaders etc.
This Awareness Campaign workshop or project provides information, communications, teach people - what to do & what not to do, provide informal quick education and make them aware.

- High school dropout & become kully or punk
- Drug, Alcohal, Gambling & Prostitution
- HIV AIDS
- Family education, Family seperation for long time.
- Zero education and Awarness in - social, political and Government

HIV AIDS spreading in Nepal....
Who is going to protect Nepal?
- Nepali population mirating foreign lands.
- HIV killing nepalese youths
- Indian dothi population over flowing into Nepal.
If this trend countinue, Nepal will not exist in future....
We have to think Quick.. before its too late.
