Are kiratis wild?

Date Sunday, January 21st 2007, 12:52 AM Icon 60 Date 5

I was impressed by the life story of iman singh chemjong . When he heard that kirati are wild peoples from his one friend, Instead of showing the wildness in him he just kept that word in his heart and started investigating about kirat culture, language and tradition. His investigations are now learning for us.
But still some peoples know us as wild. We are known not for our bravery but of our wildnes. It's time for all of us to Know the true meaning of being kirati. We got to be a true soldier for peace. Let's make this world a peace place for all of us.

Kirati were skillful, self sufficient and Civilize.

How?

If we go back to Ancient history of Nepal.... Kirati were the people who build Kathmandu Valley as a heavenly place.

Kirati were very democratic and honest. Kirati were live under the Rule, Regulation, Law, Order and principle. Kirati never ever practices caste and slavery systems. Man and Woman used to equal in house. Kirati obeyed and respected to elder and senior in tribe.

We have to dig our ancient history.

hami kirati...

Date Sunday, January 28th 2007, 1:46 AM

Kirats (RAI) are indigenous people of Mongolian origin with stout and short stature, high cheek bones, flat noses, narrow black eyes and thin moustaches and beards. Our ancestors were brave and doughty warriors and very deft archers. Before the advent of the Kirats, there were Abhir Rulers. The last king of Abhir dynasty Bhuban Shima was overthrown by Yalambar, the first Kirat King. Thus after defeating the last ruler of Abhir dynasty, Yalambar laid the foundation of the Kirat dynasty that lasted for about 1225 years
The long rule of Kirats manifests that our ancestors were strong and well organized people. Our society, administrative system and economy were well organized. Later, the sucessors of our ancestors Lichhavis also gave due importance to our legacy. We still find many places, hills and rivers that named after the Kirat (RAI) languages.
Kirats enjoys a free and open society. There is no gender discrimination.

By religion, we Kirats (RAI) were originally nature worshippers

Kirati were not wild, but Kirati are Spiritual

Date Sunday, January 21st 2007, 1:43 PM

Kirati were Not wild, but Kirati are Spiritual and nature lovers as well as they have faith on nature.

Kirati believe that human being of creation of nature. Paru hang believe to be heaven or sky, and Sumnima believe to be earth. Kirat respect and spiritually use nature element like water, fire, mud or stones etc.

Prithavi Narayan Shah did war campaign in East with kirat in 18th century, then Kirat used to left City plain and move up in Hills. It seems to them living in jungle or remote place, but they were not wild as people mis-understand. Kirati were truly Democratic and Civilize people before Prithavi Narayan invade Kirat lands with his dirty politics. Dirty politics means (Flash treaty, Flash friendship and marriage relationship, Betray) etc.
